Position Overview: Workshop Manager Jobs in Kitwe
As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all workshop activities at our Kitwe office. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that vehicle repairs and maintenance services meet quality standards and are completed within scheduled timelines. You will coordinate the workflow among technicians, provide technical expertise, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily workshop operations to guarantee timely completion of repairs and maintenance
- Delegate tasks to technicians according to their skills and job priorities
- Oversee panel beating, mechanical, and electrical repair processes
- Offer technical guidance and support on complex repair issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure repair quality and safety
- Maintain and calibrate diagnostic tools and equipment regularly
- Train, mentor, and assess technician performance to foster continuous improvement
- Manage customer communications regarding repair progress, costs, and timelines
- Keep accurate records of services, job cards, and maintenance logs
Candidate Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar workshop management role
- Diploma or certificate in Mechanics from Nortec or TEVETA
- Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated honesty, organization, and reliability
