About the Warehouse Supervisor Role

The Warehouse Supervisor will play a pivotal role in managing warehouse operations within a busy manufacturing environment. This position requires overseeing inventory management, ensuring the safe handling of materials, and coordinating the timely dispatch of finished products to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Supervisor Jobs in Lusaka

• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receipt, storage, and dispatch of mechanical materials such as hardware accessories.
• Maintain accurate inventory through regular stock counts, reconciliation, and thorough documentation.
• Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to facilitate smooth material flow.
• Oversee loading and offloading operations to minimize damage and improve efficiency.
• Optimize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization.
• Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Lead and train warehouse personnel to maintain high productivity and discipline.
• Keep precise records using warehouse management systems and standard office tools.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and operational challenges promptly.
• Prepare regular performance and stock level reports for management review.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of heavy materials to prevent accidents and damage.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least three (3) years of experience supervising warehouse operations, ideally within manufacturing or construction sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management processes.
• Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with equipment handling.
