Role Overview: Warehouse Manager Jobs in Lusaka

Reporting to the Manufacturing and Supply Chain department, the Warehouse Manager will be instrumental in ensuring seamless inventory management, consistent production support, and strict compliance with food safety and quality standards. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can drive operational excellence and optimize logistics while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
Ensure uninterrupted material availability to support continuous production and prevent downtime.
Maintain inventory accuracy through effective use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP solutions, applying FIFO and FEFO principles.
Lead stock control activities such as cycle counts, audits, and resolving variances.
Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and SHERQ standards within the warehouse environment.
Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse personnel to meet and exceed performance objectives.
Promote and enforce a safe working environment by implementing and monitoring safety procedures.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed operational and inventory reports.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Logistics teams to synchronize supply chain activities.

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum of a Full Grade 12 Certificate; a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, ideally within manufacturing or food processing sectors.
Proven track record in supervisory or management roles.
Strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply is required.
