Role Overview: Warehouse Assistant Jobs in Lusaka

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse and store. Your duties will include receiving and inspecting goods, organizing stock, and ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and maintained. You will also contribute to a safe and orderly warehouse environment, supporting cross-functional coordination with procurement, finance, and project teams to guarantee timely availability of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes (LPOs).
• Organize and store items systematically to maximize space and facilitate easy retrieval.
• Issue materials and equipment strictly based on authorized requisition forms.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using both manual logbooks (Bin Cards) and basic computer systems such as Excel or ERP.
• Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly) and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Ensure the warehouse remains clean, orderly, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Prepare detailed reports on stock levels, damaged goods, and any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma or Certificate in Stores Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a busy warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management procedures and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer literacy.
• Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift heavy items when necessary.
• Highly organized with integrity, honesty, and accountability; capable of working independently.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication and reporting.
• Availability to work weekends and late nights during peak event seasons.
• Must be based in Lusaka.
