Varun Beverages Zambia Limited is currently recruiting for various full-time roles, offering exciting utility supervisor jobs in Lusaka along with several other engineering and laboratory positions. Utility Supervisor Jobs in Lusaka – Key Opportunities

The Utility Supervisor role involves overseeing daily utility operations to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of power, water, steam, refrigeration, and compressed air. Candidates will lead utility technicians, schedule preventive maintenance, monitor energy consumption, troubleshoot breakdowns, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience

Additional Engineering & Technical Positions

We are also hiring for several other technical roles within our plant, including:

• Electrician: Maintain electrical systems, diagnose faults, and ensure safety compliance. Requires a Diploma in Electrical Engineering plus 2 years’ experience.
• Refrigeration Operator: Monitor refrigeration and cold room systems, perform routine checks, and assist maintenance. Requires a Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
• Welder: Perform welding and fabrication work, read engineering drawings, and support maintenance activities. Requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Welding Technology plus 2 years’ experience.
• AC / Refrigeration Technician: Install, service, and troubleshoot AC and refrigeration systems. Requires a Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ experience.

Laboratory Department Positions

The Laboratory Department is seeking skilled professionals to maintain quality standards through rigorous testing and analysis:

• Lab Manager: Lead lab operations, ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and food safety standards. Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Microbiology plus 5 years’ experience required.
• Microbiologist: Conduct microbiological testing and maintain lab hygiene. Diploma in Microbiology or Food Science with 2 years’ experience required.
• Tetra ESL Line Inspector: Perform quality checks on packaging lines and monitor sterilization parameters. Diploma in Food Science or Packaging Technology plus 2 years’ experience required.
• Lab Assistant: Support sample preparation and basic testing activities. Diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, or Laboratory Technology required.

Production and Packaging Line Roles

Join our aseptic process and packaging line teams to ensure smooth production operations:

• Blending Room Operator: Prepare and blend ingredients, operate blending tanks, maintain batch records. Diploma in Food Science or Chemical Engineering with 1 year experience.
• Mixing and Cooking Operator: Control cooking parameters, monitor product quality, and maintain records. Diploma in Food Science or Chemical Engineering plus 2 years’ experience.
• Incubation Operator: Monitor incubation processes and product quality. Diploma in Food Science or Mechanical Engineering.
• CIP Operator: Operate cleaning-in-place systems, monitor chemical concentrations, and maintain logs. Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering plus 2 years’ experience.
• Blow Molding Operator: Operate blow molding machines, monitor bottle quality, and perform minor maintenance. Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
• Filler Operator: Operate aseptic fillers, monitor sterilization, and maintain hygiene. Diploma in Mechanical or Food Engineering with 2 years’ experience.
• Sleever Operator: Manage sleeving machine operations and quality control. Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Shrink Wrap Operator: Operate shrink wrapping machines for secondary packaging, monitor quality, and handle minor repairs. Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
