Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Specialist, Training – HER will play a critical role in delivering high-quality training programs and ensuring competency among Heavy Equipment Repair trainees. This full-time position requires strict adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Train and certify Heavy Equipment Repair trainees to industry standards.
• Supervise trainees during on-the-job training modules at the site.
• Develop comprehensive training materials, including manuals and handbooks.
• Deliver training using diverse methods such as classroom instruction, virtual sessions, and hands-on coaching.
• Design and implement assessment tools to evaluate learning effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed reports on training outcomes and provide progress feedback to management.
• Review and recommend improvements to training content and methodologies.
• Maintain accurate student training records and coordinate off-site training activities as needed.
• Build and sustain relationships with external training suppliers and ensure a clean, safe workshop environment.
• Stay updated on the latest training design and delivery techniques.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Training Department’s operations.

Qualifications and Experience for Training Specialist Jobs in Kalumbila

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Technician Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair Trade.
• Diploma in Teaching Methodology from a recognized institution.
• Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• TEVETA accredited trainer/assessor certification.
• ZAQA validated qualifications.
• At least three years of relevant training experience within the mining industry.
