Role Overview for Technical Sales Representative Jobs in Lusaka

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Installation: Install, configure, activate, and test vehicle GPS tracking devices in line with manufacturer and company standards.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough pre-installation inspections and perform detailed post-installation testing to ensure accuracy and system integrity.
• Business Development: Identify and engage potential customers through direct sales, corporate visits, telemarketing, and digital platforms.
• Pipeline Management: Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, deliver product demonstrations, and convert prospects to meet monthly sales targets.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and fleet owners to secure contracts and promote service upgrades.
• Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot device issues, conduct routine inspections, and assist customers with GPS tracking platforms.
• Reporting & Inventory: Maintain installation records, monitor stock levels, track payments, and submit regular sales and market intelligence reports.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Electrical, Auto Electronics, ICT, Electronics, Sales, Marketing, or related disciplines.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in GPS installation, vehicle electronics, auto electrical work, or technical field sales.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, GSM/GPS technology, SIM connectivity, and basic electrical testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM software.
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel for field assignments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills with a motivated, target-driven approach.
