Overview of Teacher Recruitment Jobs in Zambia
Applicants must be Zambian nationals aged 18 years or older, registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ), and willing to serve in any part of the country for a minimum of four years. Candidates above 45 years must provide NAPSA proof of at least 15 years’ contribution. Professional teacher training completion and payment proof for ECZ results verification are mandatory.
Available Teaching Categories and Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Teacher
Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits including English, plus a teaching qualification of either a three-year diploma or a two-year certificate. - Primary School Teacher
Grade 12 certificate with five credits including English, Mathematics, and a Science subject, along with a minimum three-year diploma from a recognized Teacher Training College. - Secondary School Teacher
Grade 12 certificate with five credits including English. A merit or higher in the teaching subject is advantageous. Required qualifications include either a three-year diploma or a four-year degree.
Priority subjects include Mathematics, Natural Sciences, ICT, Design & Technology, Practical Subjects, and Zambian Languages.
Special Considerations for Applicants with Disabilities
Applicants with disabilities should have a Grade 12 certificate with at least four credits including English, hold a diploma or degree in teaching, and be registered with both the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) and the Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities (ZAPD).

ECZ Results Verification Fee
A non-refundable fee of K10 is required for ECZ results verification. Payment can be made through:

Offline Application Option
Candidates may also apply offline by sending their applications via ZAMPOST EMS. Applications should be addressed to the District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) and include all certified required documents.
