Position Overview: Teacher of Mathematics Jobs in Lusaka

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering well-structured, differentiated mathematics lessons that meet the diverse needs of secondary learners. This role requires fostering a stimulating learning environment that promotes subject mastery and critical thinking in mathematics.

• Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to engage and challenge all learners.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and targeted interventions.
• Maintain an inclusive, positive, and orderly classroom atmosphere.
• Contribute actively to curriculum development and design of engaging learning materials.
• Support enrichment activities such as mathematics clubs, competitions, and revision sessions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and pastoral staff to enhance student success and well-being.
• Utilize assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement effective interventions.

Qualifications and Experience Required for Teacher of Mathematics Jobs in Lusaka

Applicants must meet the following academic and professional criteria:

• Full Grade 12 certificate with at least 5 credits.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education specializing in Mathematics from a reputable university.
• Registration and licensing with The Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
• Familiarity with examination pathways including the Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ), Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), and IGCSE is essential.
• Ability to teach Additional Mathematics is an advantage.
