Key Qualifications for Structural Engineer Jobs in Lusaka
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in structural engineering or related fields.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit, and familiarity with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of local and international building codes, including Eurocodes and the International Building Code (IBC), as well as material design standards for concrete, steel, and timber.
- Drafting and Modeling: Ability to accurately interpret and produce fabrication and structural drawings.
- Professional Registration: Mandatory re-registration with the Engineers Registration Board (EngRB) and the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
