Position Overview
The Site Supervisor will oversee daily site operations, providing hands-on leadership and technical guidance to site laborers. Key Responsibilities for Site Supervisor Jobs in Zambia
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of site labor to ensure tasks follow project plans and specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance, resolving on-site challenges and clarifying construction methods.
- Ensure efficient and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment while minimizing waste.
- Interpret construction drawings and communicate technical details to site teams for accurate execution.
- Monitor workmanship quality and enforce adherence to safety standards and building codes.

- Report progress, challenges, and resource needs to the site engineer.
- Assist with material testing (concrete, soil, blocks, steel) to confirm compliance with technical standards.
- Support preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and verify construction quantities.
- Oversee minor repairs, adjustments, and maintenance during and after project completion.
- Perform surveying and levels marking to establish reference points, elevations, and alignments.
- Ensure accurate setting out of foundations, columns, walls, and other structural elements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
- Registered and fully paid-up member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant construction project experience.
