Fraser Alexander Zambia is seeking a qualified Site Manager to lead and supervise the construction of paddocks along the perimeter of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF) in Chingola, Copperbelt. This contract role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in earthworks and TSF projects, who are ready to manage complex construction operations while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities for Site Manager Jobs in Chingola

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the paddock construction project, including:

• Site Operations: Manage the entire construction process, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Execute the construction plan and coordinate closely with the client’s TSF Manager to implement deposition plans and allocate resources efficiently.
• Resource Management: Schedule and allocate plant, materials, and labour. Monitor subcontractors’ work and provide regular progress reports to maintain project transparency.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce compliance with business and client SHEQ systems and legal requirements. Promote proper housekeeping, provide personal protective equipment (PPE), and implement corrective actions to prevent injuries and unsafe conditions.
• Staff Supervision: Track staff performance against production targets, identify skill gaps, and arrange necessary training to ensure a competent workforce.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, monitoring service delivery, and promoting the company’s image.
• Financial Control: Oversee people-related and consumable costs, ensure timely invoice submission, and follow up on client payments to maintain financial integrity.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Candidates applying for this role should meet the following criteria:

• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• MRD 101 certification is advantageous.
• A minimum of eight years’ relevant experience in earthworks and TSF construction.
• At least three years’ experience supervising contracting operations.
• Proven experience in planning and setting up TSF projects.
