We are seeking a dedicated Site Foreman to join our team in Lusaka. Position Overview: Site Foreman

As a Site Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring work is performed efficiently, safely, and in strict accordance with approved drawings and project specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a proven record of effectively managing construction teams on site.

Key Responsibilities for Site Foreman Jobs in Lusaka

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all daily construction activities on assigned projects.
• Lead, motivate, and direct construction workers, subcontractors, and artisans to meet project goals.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity to ensure timely completion of work.
• Ensure all construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular supervision to identify and rectify defects promptly.
• Optimize the use of labor, materials, tools, equipment, and machinery to reduce delays and waste.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, labor attendance, material usage, and progress.
• Coordinate timely requisition of materials and report shortages through the Site Manager.
• Enforce strict adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Resolve routine site issues and escalate complex matters appropriately.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping on the construction site.
• Verify measurements and completed work before inspection or certification.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively with Site Engineers, Project Managers, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and promote teamwork, discipline, and professionalism on site.
• Safeguard company assets including tools, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• At least 3 to 4 years’ proven experience as a Site Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
• Ability to independently supervise and coordinate construction sites with minimal oversight.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, site operations, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and implementing construction drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction teams, subcontractors, and artisans.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Capacity to plan work, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.
• Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements in construction.
• Computer literacy is an advantage.
• Submission of three (3) traceable professional references is required.
