Role Overview for SHEQ Supervisor Jobs in Kawambwa

As a SHEQ Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. You will collaborate closely with operational teams and contractors to uphold the highest SHEQ standards and promote continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular SHEQ inspections and monitor compliance across all operational areas.
• Assist with hazard identification, perform risk assessments, and support incident investigations.
• Track and verify implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
• Deliver SHEQ inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to staff and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) standards, emergency preparedness, and environmental controls.
• Carry out compliance audits and maintain accurate SHEQ documentation and reports.
• Supervise contractor adherence to SHEQ policies and assist operational managers in enforcing safe work practices.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all operational SHEQ-related matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
• Relevant SHEQ certifications and training in First Aid or Fire Fighting are advantageous.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in SHEQ, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Agricultural Operations, or Community Development.
• Proven experience in conducting inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance monitoring is essential.
• Experience working within agricultural or industrial settings will be considered a strong asset.
