Position Overview: Senior Project Engineer in Kitwe

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead and manage critical civil engineering projects with a focus on dams engineering, earthworks, and construction supervision. Your technical leadership will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, meeting all contractual and engineering requirements. This role demands a proactive approach to project planning, risk management, and quality assurance to successfully achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks.
• Provide expert technical guidance on dams engineering, earthworks, and construction supervision.
• Develop, monitor, and update project programmes and schedules; identify and mitigate risks and delays.
• Manage project resources, budgets, timelines, and deliverables in line with contractual obligations.
• Oversee quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes to guarantee project success.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• BSc in Civil Engineering with professional registration from the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• At least 15 years of relevant engineering experience, demonstrating expertise in dam engineering, earthworks, and construction supervision.
• Strong project management skills, including experience in site investigations, project planning, scheduling, and delivery.
• Proven track record in quality assurance and quality control.
• Ability to lead projects independently, provide effective leadership, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level technical staff on site.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
