Key Responsibilities for Senior Analyst Treasury Management Jobs in Lusaka

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing treasury functions to ensure financial stability and compliance. Core responsibilities include:

• Cash Flow Planning and Liquidity Management: Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to maintain adequate liquidity for operations. Consolidate partner funding and cash projections into grant-level forecasts. Ensure funds commitments in PBAS before funding requests and manage petty cash operations including disbursements, reconciliations, and replenishments.
• Banking Operations and Payment Processing: Perform bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and oversee mobile money and beneficiary payments. Manage direct funding reconciliation and ensure donor cash deposits are confirmed and properly classified. Maintain relationships with banking partners and update exchange rates in Sun System. Support foreign currency trading and hedging to mitigate FX risks.
• Treasury Risk and Investment Oversight: Manage investment accounts such as self-insurance, gratuity, and severance funds in line with global policies. Monitor treasury risks and propose mitigation strategies. Support audit readiness and respond to treasury-related audit inquiries.

Qualifications and Experience

• First degree in Accounting or Finance, and/or professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a finance role within an NGO environment.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software packages including Sun Systems, Vision XL, Vision Executive, PowerBI, and Kariba.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, and grant accounting.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and presenting financial statements and reports.
• Demonstrated leadership skills including hiring, training, and motivating staff to achieve results.
• Expertise in financial forecasting, cash management, hedging, and foreign exchange.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
