Position Overview: Senior Administration Officer
This contract position, based in Lusaka, involves a one-year term renewable based on funding, performance, and mutual agreement. The Senior Administration Officer will report directly to the management team and play a pivotal role in managing human resources, procurement, logistics, and inventory to support organizational operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Human Resources Management: Lead recruitment and selection, coordinate orientation and induction, prepare contracts and appraisal documents, draft HR correspondence, maintain personnel files, manage leave records, and assess administrative systems for improvements.
- Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory Management: Supervise procurement adhering to policies, chair tender committees, oversee logistics and inventory control, prepare vendor contracts, update procurement plans quarterly, coordinate logistics for operational activities, ensure timely acquisition and distribution of supplies, maintain asset records, supervise asset maintenance and protection, coordinate vehicle use, and organize staff travel and equipment movement.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Membership in a relevant professional body such as ZIHRM, ZPPA, or CILT is mandatory.
- At least five years of professional experience in administration encompassing HR, procurement, and logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of HR administration, procurement procedures, logistics coordination, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
