Key Responsibilities for Security Guard Jobs in Lusaka

As a Security Guard with CURE International, your primary duties will include:

• Crime Prevention: Ensuring that only authorized individuals access hospital and related properties, monitoring equipment and store outpasses with fixed validity periods, and patrolling premises to deter criminal activity.
• Operating gate pass systems to control the entry and exit of equipment and stores, maintaining and updating security systems regularly.
• Securing premises during non-working hours by locking facilities and preventing losses or damages through vigilant reporting of irregularities.
• Performing thorough security checks on vehicles and individuals entering or leaving the property.

Maintaining a Safe Environment and Emergency Preparedness

• Providing rapid response to security aides and coordinating backup support when needed.
• Verifying badges and credentials to ensure visitors, patients, and medical staff are in authorized areas.
• Supporting infection prevention processes within the hospital environment.
• Protecting people, property, information, and the reputation of the hospital.
• Taking preventative measures to identify and mitigate fire hazards and other safety risks.
• Monitoring fire alarms, smoke detectors, and security equipment, and ensuring timely repairs of any faults.
• Leading crowd control and evacuation efforts during emergencies, and collaborating with emergency services by activating fire alarms and communicating effectively.
• Maintaining calm and confidence among building occupants during any disaster or emergency situation.
• Working closely with patient relations and front desk teams to uphold hospital customer service standards.
