Position Overview: Secondary School Science Teacher

This full-time role involves delivering Chemistry and Physics lessons aligned with the approved secondary school curriculum. The successful candidate will also teach Mathematics when necessary, prepare comprehensive lesson plans, and develop assessments and teaching materials. The role demands a proactive approach to monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to foster academic growth.

Key Responsibilities for Science Teacher Jobs in Lusaka

  • Deliver engaging Chemistry and Physics lessons at the secondary school level.
  • Provide Mathematics instruction where appropriate.
  • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment tools.
  • Evaluate student performance and offer timely feedback.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) and a valid practicing certificate.
  • At least 2 years of secondary school teaching experience.
  • Strong familiarity with the Zambian secondary school curriculum.
  • Proven ability to teach Chemistry and Physics effectively; Mathematics teaching experience is a plus.
  • Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is advantageous.
  • Commitment to Christian principles and the holistic development of learners.
  • Passion for supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
