Our client, a prominent supplier of bakery ingredients, serves bakeries and food manufacturers throughout Zambia. They are actively recruiting a full-time Sales Representative to expand their market presence and enhance customer engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts, and promoting the company’s comprehensive bakery ingredient portfolio to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities for Sales Representative Jobs in Lusaka

• Sales & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business prospects within the bakery and food manufacturing industries. Promote and sell bakery ingredients to both existing and potential customers. Achieve and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations. Develop strategic sales plans to increase market share and revenue.
• Customer Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with bakery owners, production managers, and procurement officers. Conduct regular visits to understand client needs and uncover growth opportunities. Deliver exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries and concerns.
• Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments. Collect and relay customer feedback to support product development and business growth. Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and updates for management. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions.
• Product Knowledge & Support: Develop expert knowledge of the company’s bakery ingredient offerings and their applications. Provide technical product advice and recommendations. Stay informed on new products and market trends. Support product launches and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience in bakery ingredients.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of the bakery industry and customer needs.
• Experience managing customer accounts and cultivating long-term relationships.
• Valid driver’s licence held for at least 2 years with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
