Farmfeed Limited is seeking a dedicated Safety Health Environment Quality Officer to join our team in Lusaka, Zambia, on a contract basis. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement and ensuring a safe working environment by leading the planning, implementation, and monitoring of occupational safety and health strategies across our premises. Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Safety Health Environment Quality Officer, you will collaborate closely with top management to define the strategic direction for the Company’s SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) management program. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive SHEQ management systems.
• Creating and updating quality, health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Acting as the primary custodian for all SHEQ-related matters within the organisation.
• Advising management on new and existing SHEQ legislation, rules, and company standards.
• Ensuring adherence to internal HSE standards and relevant national and international SHEQ legislation, including energy sector occupational health and safety regulations.
• Designing and delivering SHEQ training programs to enhance staff and contractor proficiency in health and safety practices.
• Leading safety awareness campaigns to promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture.
• Overseeing emergency preparedness and response training, covering critical scenarios such as fires, electrical hazards, and chemical spills.
• Monitoring contractor compliance with company HSE policies and standards.
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures for high-risk operational and project activities.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate for this safety health environment quality officer job in Lusaka will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• G12 School Certificate.
• Diploma in an Engineering field.
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a safety-related role.
• Strong communication, leadership, and supervisory abilities.
