As the Manager – Risk Management, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for planning, organizing, and directing risk management and business continuity operations. Your leadership will be critical in developing robust frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with professional standards and regulatory requirements. You will also coordinate risk workshops and training sessions to promote a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage risk management staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and addressing staff development needs.
• Design, implement, and maintain the company’s risk management framework, policies, and methodologies.
• Develop and execute strategic and annual risk management plans aligned with ZESCO’s objectives.
• Coordinate risk assessments, audits, and facilitate risk mitigation across corporate and business units.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance providers and regulatory bodies, to align risk management practices with industry standards.
• Monitor key risk indicators to identify emerging risks and trends, preparing comprehensive reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness through education, communication, and leadership.
• Support professional development of the risk management team through mentoring and training opportunities.
• Represent the department on project teams and liaise with external organizations as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia, or an equivalent certification.
• Professional qualification in enterprise risk management is an advantage.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in enterprise risk management, internal or external auditing, or related fields.
• At least three years of supervisory experience managing teams.
