Key Responsibilities for Restaurant Manager Jobs in Livingstone
- Oversee and manage restaurant operations to ensure consistently high service standards.
- Support the smooth functioning of the food and beverage department, delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead, coach, and develop the restaurant team to enhance performance and guest satisfaction.
- Proactively address guest inquiries and concerns to improve overall satisfaction and comfort.
- Achieve departmental objectives related to food & beverage initiatives and hotel targets.
- Manage departmental budgets, controlling costs and inventory while maximizing productivity.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across departments.
- Implement programs to elevate service standards, profitability, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal audit requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 School Certificate required.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in food and beverage service within a hotel environment.
- Verified qualifications by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA), including Certificate of Verification and Evaluation.
- Strong managerial, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in reservation systems such as Opera or Micros and Microsoft Office.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and creative approach to service challenges.
- Integrity and dedication to excellence in a dynamic hospitality setting.
- Experience with IT systems across multiple platforms.
