Ciheb Zambia is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Research Field Implementation Officer. This role is based in Lusaka, Zambia, and offers a full-time opportunity to contribute to impactful HIV prevention research. About Ciheb Zambia and the Research Field Implementation Officer Role

Ciheb Zambia is a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Ministry of Health in expanding comprehensive HIV prevention and testing services across Zambia. The Research Field Implementation Officer will report directly to the Project HALO Research Study Coordinator and will be responsible for overseeing participant recruitment, data quality, community engagement, and collaboration with health facilities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities for Research Field Implementation Officer Jobs in Lusaka

• Coordinate and implement study activities at health facilities and community sites following approved protocols and SOPs.
• Support study start-up processes including site preparation and staff orientation.
• Manage participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, follow-up, and retention efforts in collaboration with facility teams and peer educators.
• Lead community mobilization and sensitization initiatives to raise study awareness and foster stakeholder engagement.
• Provide mentorship and training to facility staff to ensure adherence to study procedures and protocol compliance.
• Monitor data collection accuracy, conduct quality assurance visits, and resolve data-related issues in partnership with the Data Manager.
• Conduct routine site monitoring visits and prepare detailed reports documenting progress, challenges, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ethical standards, and national research regulations.
• Manage logistics including study supplies, transport coordination, and procurement support.
• Maintain effective communication with the Study Coordinator and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Diploma in community development, social work, project management, resource management, or a related administrative field.
• Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subjects Protection.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in HIV prevention, public health, or implementation research projects.
• Experience working with key populations, adolescents, and young people is essential.
• Proven track record in coordinating community-based interventions and health facility implementation.
• Familiarity with HIV prevention programs including PrEP and sexual and reproductive health.
• Experience with electronic data capture systems such as REDCap is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of research methodologies, ethics, and Ministry of Health systems.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Effective stakeholder management and community engagement capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic data management tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
