About the Role

The Renewable Energy Project Engineer will design, develop, and implement renewable energy systems, focusing on solar, wind, and hydropower projects. You will be responsible for optimizing photovoltaic and thermal solar systems, ensuring high performance while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation and maintenance of solar renewable energy infrastructure, coordinating teams to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Design solar heating systems for residential and commercial applications.
  • Develop system layouts that optimize energy output and space utilization.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to contractors, installers, and maintenance teams throughout project execution.
  • Perform technical and economic analyses to evaluate project viability.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for solar installations.
  • Conduct comprehensive site audits assessing solar potential, including roof structure, shading, and environmental impact.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, building standards, and renewable energy regulations.
  • Develop interconnection applications for grid-tied solar systems and stay updated on evolving regulations and incentives.
  • Organize training and awareness programs on renewable energy for companies and communities.
  • Participate actively in project meetings, offering technical expertise for informed decision-making.

  • Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering or Sustainable Energy Systems is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in renewable energy engineering, particularly solar and wind technologies.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale solar energy projects.
  • Familiarity with energy modeling software such as HOMER, PVSyst, and RETScreen.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar project regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Relevant certifications in Renewable Energy or Engineering are highly valued.
