About the Quality Assurance Manager Role
As Manager – Quality Assurance, you will develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the internal quality assurance program. You will supervise staff in creating and executing annual quality assurance work plans, coordinate the Audit and Risk directorate’s Annual Action Plans, and monitor overall performance. Your expertise will guide management and internal audit teams to achieve their objectives effectively and in compliance with professional standards.
Key Responsibilities in Quality Assurance Manager Jobs in Zambia
- Develop annual plans for conducting quality assurance reviews aligned with organizational policies.
- Execute quality assurance reviews ensuring adherence to internal policies and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
- Facilitate the review and compilation of policies, procedures, processes, and systems across all Audit and Risk business units.
- Oversee staff-related processes including job descriptions, performance contracting, appraisals, development plans, and training initiatives.
- Support the directorate’s performance management and facilitate monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
- Coordinate the development and review of the Directorate’s Annual Action Plans and Risk Register.
- Promote continuous professional development through training and professional memberships, sharing knowledge with team members.
- Represent internal auditing on project teams, management forums, and external engagements as delegated.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification combined with a bachelor’s degree or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA Zambia.
- Additional professional qualifications like Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal or external auditing.
- At least 2 years’ experience in assuring auditing processes.
