Parrogate Ginneries Limited is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee the quality assurance function within our food manufacturing operations in Mwembeshi. This role is critical in ensuring that all food and feed products consistently comply with statutory, regulatory, and customer quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality systems such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP to guarantee product safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Maintain a safe working environment that minimizes health risks.
• Lead the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Management Systems across the company.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Oversee implementation of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and quality control programs.
• Manage both internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and certification processes.
• Monitor product quality, investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and food safety incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct quality risk assessments and track key quality performance indicators.
• Ensure supplier quality assurance and raw material compliance are effectively managed.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality control procedures.
• Prepare and present comprehensive quality reports to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing or processing industry.
• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, or equivalent food safety standards.
• Proven experience managing audits and regulatory inspections.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in report writing.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
