About the Purchasing Lead Role
As Purchasing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing procurement activities across both core and non-core categories. Your leadership will ensure cost-effective purchasing, compliance with company policies, and adherence to local regulations. You will be instrumental in driving supplier sourcing, evaluation, and contract negotiations, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and monitoring key procurement performance indicators.

- Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier management, sourcing, and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, purchasing processes, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of procurement compliance, internal controls, and vendor onboarding procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
