Key Responsibilities for PSV Driver Jobs in Lusaka

• Safely operate and take full responsibility for the company’s 7.5-tonne light truck.
• Transport goods and authorized items within Lusaka and to other parts of Zambia.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections; promptly report any mechanical faults or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and other vehicle data.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and safe delivery of all cargo.
• Keep the assigned truck clean and in good condition.
• Adhere strictly to road traffic regulations and company safety protocols.
• Engage professionally with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Identify and communicate potential business and transport opportunities to benefit the company.
• Be prepared for frequent travel and occasional assignments outside Lusaka.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a valid PSV driving licence with a verifiable clean driving record.
• Demonstrate proven experience driving commercial vehicles, especially 7.5-tonne light trucks.
• Have solid knowledge and hands-on experience with European trucks.
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and ability to identify common mechanical issues.
• Exhibit maturity, discipline, responsibility, honesty, and trustworthiness.
• Possess good knowledge of Lusaka roads and major routes throughout Zambia.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Zambia.
• Show a proactive, business-minded approach, including identifying new opportunities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Advantages

• Experience with European commercial truck brands such as DAF, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Scania, or Iveco.
• Background in logistics, distribution, courier services, or long-distance transportation.
