About the Role – Project Lead Jobs in Lusaka
As Project Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving the success of a short-term project aimed at enhancing the soybean value chain. Your leadership will directly support smallholder farmers by improving market access, increasing mechanization efficiency, and building capacity throughout the value chain. This role is based in Lusaka with regular travel required to Mkushi and Serenje to oversee project activities on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of project activities focused on soybean production and marketing.
- Coordinate with farmers, local partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Facilitate access to markets by supporting direct soybean purchases from smallholder farmers.
- Oversee Mechanization as a Service initiatives to improve harvesting efficiency and reduce post-harvest losses.
- Implement capacity-building programs to enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills across the soybean value chain.
- Regularly monitor project progress and report outcomes to stakeholders.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
We are looking for a proactive, organized, and results-oriented individual with strong project coordination skills. A genuine passion for agriculture and experience working with smallholder farmers will be highly valued. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
