About the Role – Project Engineer Jobs in Kalumbila

Reporting directly to the Coordinator – Projects, the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing productivity and project enhancement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and promptly report and investigate any incidents.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to implement initiatives and integrate innovative solutions during project execution.
• Optimize operational processes and systems to reduce mining costs and enhance project economics.
• Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvements.
• Validate design and scheduling assumptions against actual performance and recommend performance enhancements.
• Deliver accurate and timely reports as required.
• Support the preparation of business plans and budgets for study work.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term infrastructure designs and execution plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least four (4) years of mining engineering experience, preferably in open-pit operations.
• Proven expertise with mine design software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant engineering software.
• Membership in the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is mandatory.
• Possession of a valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
