About the Role: Procurement Superintendent Jobs in Solwezi

Reporting directly to the Supply Manager within the Commercial Department, the Procurement Superintendent will oversee the procurement of goods essential to business operations. The successful candidate will ensure timely purchasing aligned with quality, safety, and financial policies. This full-time position requires a strategic leader capable of managing supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest health and safety standards by implementing personal safety plans and leading by example in accordance with Kansanshi Health and Safety policies.
• Develop and enhance Procurement Team capabilities by setting clear objectives aligned with commercial goals and fostering skill development.
• Monitor team performance using leadership dashboards and escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary.
• Ensure efficient, compliant procurement operations supporting mining and processing activities.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to meet and sustain minimum standards.
• Manage key internal and supplier relationships to optimize procurement service delivery and supplier performance.
• Continuously improve procurement efficiency while ensuring accurate processing of purchase orders and prioritizing critical business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, procurement or supply diploma, or CIPS accreditation, with all qualifications verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
• Pronto accreditation is required.
• Membership in a relevant statutory body.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience supervising or managing a procurement team, preferably within the resource sector or other asset-intensive industries.
• Proven ability to deliver efficient procurement services and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
