About The Learning Ladder
Located at Twinpalms Road, Kabulonga and Kaleya Road Roma Campus in Lusaka, Zambia, The Learning Ladder provides a stimulating and supportive learning environment. We are recruiting for full-time positions with a start date to be communicated upon selection.
Primary Teacher Position – Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Deliver engaging, effective lessons aligned with Oxford standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments.
- Create a positive, inclusive, learner-centred classroom environment.
- Support learners’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Communicate progress effectively with parents.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, school events, and professional development.
- Adhere to school policies, safeguarding standards, and professional ethics.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Primary Education or related field.
- Certification or training in Oxford or Cambridge Curriculum is advantageous.
- Special needs qualification and experience considered an asset.
- Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration.
- At least 2–3 years’ experience teaching in an international or Cambridge/Oxford curriculum setting.
- Strong classroom management and assessment skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Early Childhood Teacher Opportunities in Lusaka
We are also seeking Early Childhood Teachers who are passionate about delivering developmentally appropriate lessons and fostering holistic child development within a Montessori framework.
- Plan and deliver lessons that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Maintain a well-organized, stimulating learning environment.
- Observe, assess, and document learner progress and development.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and self-directed learning.
- Develop learner portfolios and maintain classroom records.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Uphold child safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Montessori experience or special needs qualification is an advantage.
- Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of child development and child-centred learning.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
