Role Overview for Portfolio Manager Jobs in Lusaka

As a Portfolio Manager at Spectrum Credit Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and growth of assigned loan portfolios. Your role includes monitoring collection rates, mitigating credit risks, and ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulatory standards. You will play a key part in maintaining portfolio quality and supporting the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new client onboarding through the official digital onboarding channel.
• Deliver excellent customer service by promptly addressing clients’ financial needs.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance against KPIs such as Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and organizational targets.
• Engage with existing high-quality clients to facilitate refinancing and ensure portfolio stability.
• Identify and onboard new high-potential loan clients monthly to expand the portfolio.
• Handle USSD-based inquiries, converting leads into active loan applicants.
• Meet monthly disbursement targets by securing and processing new clients.
• Ensure all lending activities comply with internal policies, local financial laws, anti-money laundering (AML) protocols, and Know Your Customer (KYC) standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or higher qualification in Sales, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in microfinance, insurance, or similar financial sectors.
• Proven excellence in customer service.
• Strong integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and respect in professional interactions.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to manage portfolios independently and meet targets.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and career progression.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable strategies for sustainable impact.
