Key Responsibilities for Planning and Reliability Superintendent Jobs in Kalumbila

• Lead the maintenance planning team to develop and optimize short, medium, and long-term maintenance schedules.
• Drive the reliability program by identifying root causes of equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Implement and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance strategies aligned with OEM specifications and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance asset reliability and performance.
• Manage the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain accurate asset data and work history.
• Prepare and present reliability reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and equipment performance trends.
• Train and mentor junior staff in maintenance planning and reliability methodologies.
• Ensure all activities comply with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and statutory regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry, including supervisory or superintendent responsibilities.
• Proven expertise in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
• Experience using maintenance management software is essential.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Knowledge of Zambia’s mining regulations and HSE standards is an advantage.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
