Role Overview: Operations & Supply Chain Officer Jobs in Lusaka

The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations & Supply Chain Manager and will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient procurement, warehousing, logistics, fleet management, and supplier coordination. This full-time position requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple operational functions to guarantee timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Support: Assist with supplier quotations, purchase order processing, follow-ups to ensure timely delivery, maintaining procurement records, and supporting month-end reporting.
  • Warehousing & Inventory Coordination: Maintain accurate stock records, assist with regular stock counts, ensure proper documentation, and liaise with warehouse staff on stock availability.
  • Fleet Administration: Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance, monitor fuel card usage, maintain vehicle documentation, and support fleet utilization reporting.
  • Supplier Coordination: Manage supplier database updates, follow up on orders and deliveries, and assist with product returns and after-sales support.
  • Logistics & Distribution Support: Coordinate deliveries and dispatches, track goods movement, prepare delivery documentation, and monitor logistics timelines.
  • Administration & Compliance: Maintain filing systems, ensure adherence to company policies and procurement regulations, and assist in maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reporting & Data Management: Prepare weekly and monthly reports, update supply chain data systems, and support data analysis related to stock and procurement trends.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of proven experience in operations support, logistics, and supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and fleet management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and ERP/CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
