Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive, and nurturing care during daytime hours
- Engage the child with age-appropriate activities including reading, singing, sensory and outdoor play, and creative projects
- Maintain a consistent daily routine covering feeding, naps, playtime, and bathing
- Support early language skills by narrating, naming objects, and conversing regularly
- Prepare and serve simple, nutritious meals and snacks
- Keep the child’s environment clean, organized, and welcoming
- Communicate daily updates to parents regarding the child’s mood, milestones, and activities
- Accompany the child on outdoor walks and outings as needed
Candidate Requirements for Nanny Jobs in Lusaka
- Minimum of two years’ experience caring for infants and toddlers (ages 0–2 years)
- Strong and confident English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) qualification is highly preferred; other teaching certificates (primary, nursery, etc.) will also be considered
- Residence in or near Woodlands or surrounding Lusaka areas
- Ability to provide two to three contactable references from previous employers
- Punctuality, reliability, and trustworthiness are essential
- Comfortable with limited personal phone use during working hours
