About the Metal Fabricator Welder Role in Lusaka

As a metal fabricator welder at Two Six Zero Brands Africa, you will work from detailed technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality metal parts using appropriate welding techniques and tools. This role requires precision and efficiency, whether working in our workshop or on-site, while strictly following all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding on mild steel (MS) and stainless steel (SS) materials.
• Measure, cut, and fit metal components using gas cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Assemble and fabricate metal structures, tanks, pipelines, and equipment according to engineering drawings.
• Ensure proper alignment, finishing, and welding quality throughout the fabrication process.
• Inspect and test welds to verify strength, appearance, and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct repair, modification, and maintenance welding tasks as required.
• Maintain welding machines, tools, and equipment in optimal working condition.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and welding codes.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors, engineers, and production teams to meet project deadlines.
• Follow electrical safety standards and food industry hygiene regulations as applicable.
• Ensure all work complies with local and international electrical codes.
• Document repairs, inspections, and upgrades accurately for record-keeping.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and engineering departments to support smooth operations.
• Be available for emergency repairs during equipment breakdowns or power failures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate in Metal Fabrication and Welding from a recognized technical or vocational training institution.
• Minimum of five years’ practical experience in metal fabrication and welding.
• High school education or equivalent.
