Role Overview: Metal Fabrication Training Specialist Jobs in Kalumbila

The Specialist, Training – Metal Fabrication, will play a critical role in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for metal fabrication trainees. The successful candidate will ensure trainees achieve competency through well-structured learning experiences, both on-site and off-site, while maintaining compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Train and certify metal fabrication trainees to ensure competency standards are met.
• Supervise trainees during their on-the-job training modules to ensure safety and quality.
• Develop and update training materials including manuals and handbooks.
• Deliver training programs using a variety of methods such as classroom instruction, virtual sessions, and hands-on coaching.
• Design assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
• Compile and present detailed reports on training outcomes to management.
• Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve training content and delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of trainee progress and certifications.
• Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers of training tools and resources.
• Ensure the metal fabrication workshop and surrounding areas maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Coordinate off-site training activities as required.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in training design and methodologies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Training Department supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Technician Certificate in Metal Fabrication Trade.
• Diploma in Teaching Methodology from a recognized institution.
• Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Accreditation as a trainer/assessor by TEVETA.
• Valid degree, diploma, or certificates validated by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
