Parrogate Ginneries Limited is seeking a skilled professional for mechanical technician jobs in Mwembeshi to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize mechanical systems within our poultry and animal feed production facilities. This role is critical to ensuring continuous plant operations, maximizing equipment reliability, maintaining product quality, and upholding strict safety standards while supporting overall production efficiency and business objectives.

• Maintain a safe working environment that prioritizes health and safety compliance.
• Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults promptly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years recent and relevant experience in a mechanical technician role.
• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Grade 12 school certificate.
• Experience within the animal feed or poultry production industry is an advantage.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

• Knowledge: Mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication methods, engineering drawings, workshop practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Skills: Fault diagnosis, welding, machining, fitting, alignment, use of hand and power tools, and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Competencies: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork, effective communication, flexibility, and excellent time management.
