Role Overview for Marketing Officer Jobs in Lusaka

As a Marketing Officer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating marketing campaigns, producing compelling content, managing digital platforms, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize marketing effectiveness. You will work closely with various internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive brand messaging and successful marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, product launches, and corporate projects.
  • Create engaging content for digital and traditional media, including social media posts, email newsletters, brochures, and website updates.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Communications teams to develop brand-aligned marketing materials.
  • Monitor and analyze key marketing metrics such as campaign reach, engagement, and conversion rates; prepare monthly performance reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Manage the company’s online presence across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring consistent brand voice and timely responses to inquiries.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and propose innovative marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, designers, and media partners to support marketing activities.
  • Maintain brand reputation by escalating sensitive issues and ensuring all content adheres to corporate standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing or digital marketing, preferably within a corporate or multinational environment.

Technical Skills and Core Competencies

  • Proficiency with social media platforms and management tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer.
  • Working knowledge of design and video editing software including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and website content management.
  • Ability to analyze data and marketing analytics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgment when handling commercially or politically sensitive matters.
