As a Machinist at BAFOKENG HYDRAULICS ZAMBIA, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other workshop tools to manufacture high-quality metal parts. Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Manufacture, assemble, and finish metal components with exacting precision.
• Carry out quality control checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep machines in excellent working condition.
• Work with various materials such as steel, aluminium, and brass.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production deadlines and targets.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of industrial machining experience, with proven expertise in manual machining processes.
• Valid membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
