Oryx Energies is seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team in Lusaka, Zambia. Position Overview – Logistics Supervisor Jobs in Lusaka

As a Logistics Supervisor at Oryx Energies, you will coordinate and manage all logistics activities, ensuring smooth operations from product receipt to delivery. You will supervise personnel, monitor objectives, and provide training and guidance to the logistics team. Your role will also involve planning and dispatching loading orders in collaboration with customer service and logistics departments, optimizing truck availability, and confirming product deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the logistics team to ensure seamless execution of logistics activities.
  • Supervise personnel, monitor their performance, and support their professional development through training.
  • Manage logistics processes related to product receipt at terminals and depots.
  • Plan, schedule, and dispatch loading orders, including transport arrangements and coordination with terminals and depots.
  • Communicate with transporters to confirm truck availability and optimize delivery routes to customer sites.
  • Confirm product deliveries by Downstream Operations to transporters or end customers.
  • Plan and execute intra-tank transfers as required.
  • Coordinate product ex-bonding activities for Gasoil.
  • Supervise road and rail transport contracts, including monitoring validity, in-transit losses, and maintaining vetting and database records for trucks, transporters, and drivers.
  • Process transporter billing accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with the HSSEQ department to conduct transporter audits and coordinate technical truck vetting procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain management within the petroleum industry.
  • Experience in the oil and gas downstream sector is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity and professionalism.
