Key Responsibilities for Loan Officer Jobs in Lusaka

• Business Development & Client Acquisition: Conduct structured marketing visits and product awareness sessions at approved employer institutions. Identify eligible clients and consistently meet monthly and quarterly disbursement targets according to policy guidelines. Support onboarding of new employer partners and maintain strong relationships with HR and payroll officers.
• Loan Processing & Data Integrity: Assist clients throughout the loan application process by verifying all required documentation, including NRC, payslips, bank details, and authorization forms. Perform preliminary affordability assessments to ensure deductions comply with approved limits. Accurately enter client data into the loan management system, ensuring zero duplication and seamless payroll deductions. Maintain well-organized physical and electronic records, promptly correcting any data entry errors.
• Portfolio Monitoring & Collections: Monitor repayment performance closely and follow up on arrears within 24 to 48 hours. Coordinate with employer payroll departments to resolve deduction issues efficiently. Engage actively in recovery efforts for delinquent accounts to maintain Portfolio at Risk (PAR) within company thresholds.
• Compliance, Risk & Reporting: Adhere strictly to internal credit policies and verify document authenticity to prevent fraud. Maintain the confidentiality of all client information. Prepare and submit daily activity logs, weekly pipeline updates, and monthly performance reports to management.
