Position Overview: Loan Officer Jobs in Lusaka

As a Loan Officer within our Credit department, you will be responsible for onboarding new clients and conducting thorough evaluations of their loan applications against established criteria. The role requires managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their loan processes progress smoothly from application to repayment. We prefer male candidates who demonstrate strong analytical skills and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers to notify them of overdue bills and negotiate suitable payment plans.
• Maintain accurate customer payment records and documentation.
• Prepare demand letters and final notice warnings for delinquent accounts.
• Respond promptly to customer queries and provide clear guidance.
• Engage with customers to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate loan products.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all loan products and eligibility criteria.
• Identify and recommend loan products that align with customer needs and lending policies.
• Review active loan files daily to ensure completeness and expedite processing.
• Use professional judgment to evaluate borrower risk and recommend viable lending opportunities.
• Manage client portfolios throughout the entire loan lifecycle to foster strong relationships and ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or diploma in Banking and Finance or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a solid aptitude for numbers.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Possession of a valid driving license is an added advantage.
