Lecturer Jobs in Ndola: Transport and Logistics

The Transport and Logistics Lecturers will deliver high-quality instruction and academic leadership within the department. Candidates will prepare students to address the complexities of global supply chains, fleet management, and strategic distribution, while supporting the university’s mission through teaching, research, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions on Transport Management, Supply Chain, and Freight Operations.
  • Develop and update course materials to align with current industry trends.
  • Conduct original research in logistics and transport systems for publication.
  • Assess student progress through examinations, assignments, and practical evaluations.
  • Mentor students on research projects, internships, and career development in logistics.
  • Engage with industry partners to facilitate industrial attachments and community transport initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits including English and Mathematics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Merit or better) in a relevant field.
  • Master’s Degree in Transport and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is an advantage.
  • Three to five years of tertiary teaching experience or senior industry experience in logistics.
  • Valid membership with a relevant professional body such as CILT.

Lecturer Jobs in Ndola: Clearing and Forwarding

The Clearing and Forwarding Lecturers will specialize in international trade, customs procedures, and documentation, equipping students with practical skills to manage cross-border trade regulations and freight forwarding operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach modules including Customs Legislation, International Trade Documentation, Incoterms, and Port Operations.
  • Provide hands-on training in customs clearing software and bill of entry/laden document preparation.
  • Support development of workshops and seminars on trade laws and maritime regulations.
  • Ensure teaching and assessments meet university and national regulatory standards.
  • Maintain strong industry links with customs authorities and forwarding agencies to keep curriculum relevant.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 certificate with five credits including English and Mathematics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Logistics, or related field focused on Clearing and Forwarding.
  • Master’s Degree in the relevant field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in Customs Clearing and Freight Forwarding is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of three years teaching or professional experience in Clearing and Forwarding.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body.
