Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive land surveys, preparing detailed survey reports, and performing boundary demarcations. This role supports construction and land development initiatives by ensuring all surveys meet the standards set by the Lands Department and the Surveyor Institution of Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys including cadastral, topographical, and construction surveys.
• Prepare accurate survey plans, maps, and related documentation.
• Perform boundary demarcation, subdivision, and beacon placement activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards from the Lands Department and Surveyor Institution of Zambia.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, local authorities, and government departments regarding survey matters.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatic or Civil Engineering and registration with the Surveyor Institution of Zambia (SIZ).
• Valid Grade 12 Certificate with at least five ‘O’ level passes, including Mathematics and English.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS or QGIS, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Physical fitness to perform fieldwork under various environmental conditions.
• Competency in using surveying instruments such as total stations and RTK equipment.
• Female surveyors are encouraged to apply, promoting diversity within the workforce.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Experience conducting construction site surveys and working on dealership projects is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all survey tasks.
• Strong communication skills, including report writing and client interactions.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
