Position Overview: Land Surveyor Jobs in Lusaka
As a Land Surveyor with GROUP OF COMPANIES, you will be responsible for accurately measuring and mapping land boundaries, contours, and features. Your work will support various projects, including construction and infrastructure development, by ensuring legal property boundaries are properly defined. Utilizing advanced surveying equipment and software, you will deliver precise data critical for project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land and topographic surveys to establish property boundaries and identify land features
- Operate surveying instruments such as GPS devices, total stations, and levels with proficiency
- Prepare comprehensive survey reports, maps, plats, and legal descriptions for project documentation
- Analyze collected data using CAD software to verify accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to align survey data with project requirements
- Set out construction works including buildings, roads, and infrastructure according to design specifications
- Maintain detailed records of survey data and field notes for future reference and legal purposes
- Ensure all surveying activities adhere to local laws, regulations, and safety protocols
Qualifications and Experience
- Proficient in surveying software such as AutoCAD and GIS tools
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities to interpret complex data accurately
- Demonstrated capability in operating modern surveying instruments effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work well within multidisciplinary teams
- Mid-level experience with 3 to 5 years in both field and office surveying roles
- Must be a resident of Lusaka and available to start work immediately
