About the NetOne Foundation and the SAMA Programme
As the implementing partner for Intervention 2 of the Smart Africa Markets for All (SAMA) Programme in Zambia, the NetOne Foundation collaborates with the Smart Africa Alliance and the Mastercard Foundation to enhance livelihoods for over 32,000 young people. The programme focuses on supporting 20,000 women in the informal economy through the AISHA initiative and 12,000 ICT-trained youth via the NALA programme. A key priority is empowering young women, who constitute at least 70% of the beneficiaries.
SAMA expands access to inclusive digital markets, entrepreneurship, and dignified employment by strengthening digital skills, fostering financial inclusion, and improving market access. Informal traders receive practical digital and business training to grow their enterprises, while ICT-trained unemployed youth gain industry-relevant certifications in areas such as data science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing.
Key Responsibilities for Junior Assistant Administrative Officer Jobs in Lusaka
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including managing correspondence, maintaining records, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings and events.
- Support project implementation by organizing project documentation, tracking timelines, and assisting with stakeholder engagement and outreach activities.
- Assist with finance and procurement tasks such as processing invoices, managing purchase requests, reconciling petty cash, and maintaining expenditure records.
- Deliver HR administrative support including recruitment coordination, onboarding processes, attendance tracking, and leave management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements by maintaining accurate documentation, filing systems, and preparing for audits.
- Maintain efficient office operations by managing supplies, databases, and administrative systems to facilitate smooth program delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Studies, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in an NGO or donor-funded environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
