Position Overview

The IT Technician will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of computer-related equipment, including printers, projectors, web cameras, and scanners. You will deliver on-site training to users for new hardware and software, ensuring smooth adoption and optimal use. The role demands flexibility to travel to remote sites as required, either on a scheduled basis or on demand.

Key duties include installation and maintenance of PC hardware, checking peripherals such as mice and keyboards, and installing, configuring, and managing software according to specifications. Additionally, you will develop and maintain local area networks, safeguard network security and privacy, and keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities for IT Technician Jobs in Ndola

• Service and maintain office machines and computer hardware including printers, scanners, and projectors
• Deliver prepared training sessions on new equipment and software to end users
• Install PC hardware and peripheral devices, ensuring full functionality
• Install, configure, and manage software applications and system functions
• Develop and maintain local networks to support organizational operations
• Maintain hardware and software inventories for accurate tracking
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 certificate is required
• Certificate or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field is an added advantage
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a similar IT technician role is preferred
• Competency in office machine hardware repair and maintenance is essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
